He has spent a career turning impossible moments into experiences people share.
It started with a Christmas magic kit.
Growing up in Houston, Texas, Neal faced challenges early that could have easily defined his ceiling. The people around him had other ideas. Teachers stayed in his corner, his parents prayed and spoke hope into his life, and his family kept showing up.
At four years old, a magic kit from Granny and Grampy, straight from a Lillian Vernon catalog, sparked something. A dad who spent hours at the kitchen table learning every trick alongside his son helped turn that first kit into a calling.
Then came his own birthday party.
With a little courage, a magic wand and a room full of friends, Neal performed one of his first shows at his own birthday party in 1996. He was nervous. Everyone loved it.
The feeling of making people laugh, wonder and cheer stuck. It is still the reason he walks onstage today.
The fascination started early. The standards grew with it.
In eighth grade, Neal took the stage for his middle-school talent show and had a tremendous time. From ninth through twelfth grade, he performed at his high school’s Fine Arts Festival, where classmates went wild as birds and rabbits appeared and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Between school stages, he brought magic to social events, picnics, church functions and birthday parties. By sixteen, he was advertising in local parenting publications and working with a small talent agency. The wonder is still there. The show has grown into something far bigger.
A dinner-show moment made in honor of Granny.
Neal’s first magic kit was a Christmas gift from his Granny and Grampy. Years later, after losing his Granny in 2023, he created a special dinner-show illusion to celebrate the love she gave so freely.
A volunteer joined him in a silent game of tic-tac-toe. At the finish, the tiles revealed Neal’s favorite photo of the two of them holding hands. It was a powerful reminder that the best magic does more than surprise a room. It can make people feel something.

Today, Neal performs for schools, corporations, theaters, libraries, churches, community organizations and family audiences throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and beyond. The goal is simple: leave every room lighter, more connected and more alive.
Across nearly 20 full-time years and thousands of shows, Neal has performed from the Carolinas to California, lectured at the International Brotherhood of Magicians convention and been featured on WITN News. The credentials matter because the experience in the room does.
Neal has also taught hundreds of fellow performers through the Magic Master Summit, sharing what it takes to build lasting client relationships and a stronger entertainment business. His original effect, Flash Cards, has sold thousands of copies to family performers around the world. He also contributed to PERFORM by Tim Hannig, a respected guide for entertainers building school-show careers.
He would rather laugh with an audience than perform at one.
His style combines self-deprecating humor, conversational comedy, strong magic and genuine curiosity about the people standing beside him.
He is a husband, dad and professional magician who somehow turned something he loved as a kid into an actual career. At home, cards show up in couch cushions, the refrigerator and other places cards have no business being. His wife has learned not to ask about the mysterious packages.
His friends call him Big Deal Neal. His clients just call him back.
